Crackman
Yesterday I hiked up and climbed on the ice flows coming of the lower spur. Saw a party of two climb the right gulley. If you're on this site, I was curious how the conditions were. Also, I have some pretty good pics of the mountain with you as specs. Great day to be on the mountain! Alpinfox
I have some pretty good pics of the mountain with you as specs. Let's see 'em! What is the road situation now?
Crackman
The road is still closed. The TJ trail is not so bad. Here's a nice sunrise pic. Don't bother looking for the climbers, they're not in sight. Edited February 22, 2005 by Crackman
Winter
Just an FYI for those headed up there that the Polallie Ridge trail is probably in much better condition right now. TJ tends to get icy and crappy when there is low snow like this year, and Polallie Ridge will be snow free and will dump you off in a pretty good spot to get onto the Elliot. Just a heads up. Justin_RR
How were road conditions? Could you drive all the way to the TJ trailhead?
rbw1966
Depends on which trailhead you mean. The road is gated at the lower trailhead.
