gyselinck
Climb: Mount Stuart-Ice Cliff Glacier attempt Date of Climb: 2/11/2005 Trip Report: First sights of Stuart and the Ice Cliff Glacier's massive wall. My first impressions. Our route up the wall. An icy pitch. Red arrow shows the hidden shrund, blue arrow shows the upper route. We bailed right here. North Ridge, Ice Cliff Glacier, Sherpa Glacier. sobo
Yeah, but gyselinck lost beaucoup points for not having his name written on athletic tape in Marks-A-Lot pen and taped over the MSR logo.
Alex
talk about low snow year! {edit} its actually too bad you didnt get the weather to keep going, as ICG is a really nice, comfortable moderate route through a really spectacular area! The upper couloir is fairly moderate except for the cornice at the top. But its good you bailed, fumbling around looking for the descent route once you exit the route is difficult enough in good weather. Once the road opens, go back and do the entire route in a day car-to-car, its a great trip done light!
