Blake Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 I've just gotten a bunch of the superlight 8mm dyneema sligns from mammut. I know they are ful strength, and i have total faith in their ability to hold falls. However does anyone know if these need to be treated differently than typically sewn/tied nylon slings? I plan on reserving then for alpine stuff where approach weight is key, but can I still girth hitch them to slings on hexes/cams? Will I need to worry more about abraision on rocks? Thanks! Quote
RuMR Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 Tape over the zone where they are stitched...that area seems to fray faster than normal... other than that they rock! Quote
