If you've ever been in a storm with big seas in a small (30' and under) sailboat, you know how fragile you really are. His ending up in C. America wasn't his doing. Certainly sh!# can happen to anybody, but if you or your equipment is not up to the task, well, you might find your "3 hour tour" turning into a 3 month drift. All aboard Gilligan.
