Alpinfox Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Anybody here have this program? I have a copy but my first disc (the one with the installer on it) seems to have gotten scratched or corrupted or something. Anybody out there willing to burn a copy of their disc #1 for me? Quote
iain Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 uh, I have the program too and I also have the same problem with the first disk, and second disk, and the...hell if you could burn me copies of them all I'd appreciate it. Quote
Norman_Clyde Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 I have the program and my discs are fine so far. Send a pm--but only those of you who really own the program, since I don't believe in piracy. (Insert jolly roger graemlin here) Quote
Alpinfox Posted November 19, 2004 Author Posted November 19, 2004 Yes, I DO actually own the whole set, I'm just having problems with disc #1. I've contacted Nat Geo's customer service department, but they haven't gotten back to me yet. A very generous person has offered to copy that disc for me, so hopefully that will fix the problem. Squid Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 On a related note, I want someone else to try out Google's new 'keyhole' program and compare it to TOPO for me (I'm too cheap and lazy to do it myself) Keyhole! Quote
Alpinfox Posted November 20, 2004 Author Posted November 20, 2004 Looks cool. Take a "magic carpet ride" from spaceview all the way down to street level. $30. 7day trial version is free. They have 15m resolution for all of US w/ greater resolution of most major cities (Seattle, Spokane). I think the sideviews of terrain features will be a really nice tool for identifying peaks. Might even put Klenke out of business! I don't think it does USGS-style topo maps that can be used for navigation though. Quote
Freebird_AL Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Has anyone tried DeLorme’s TopoUSA 5.0 with the Aerial Data Packets yet? Quote
