Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 (edited) John Stewart is a prick....and not even that funny. I thought his "snipers wanted" advertisement - televised just after the 2000 election, along with a picture of Bush - should have earned the guy a couple days in prison. The guy reminds me of Bill Maher(sp?). Political humor is funny...when it's not coming from an overtly partisan comedian. So you think the American media is on the whole doing a good job? Asking the tough questions, really bulldogging the politicians, getting to the root of issues and not just throwing softballs? Come on, man, Stewart's main point didn't even have anything to do with partisan anything. He took his jabs, yeah, but the point was that the news media is asleep at the wheel. The sad thing is, you disagree with a statement like that coming from Jon Stewart, but you're probably n-o-d-ding* along vigorously every time Rush starts bashing the weak "Liberal Media". Lame. * edit: fuckin' cc.com changes the word to "steaksauce" ... what the fuck? Edited October 20, 2004 by Dr_Flash_Amazing Quote
foraker Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 While I wouldn't pay to have cable in order to see it, I've always thought it would be amusing to turn Crossfire on its head, e.g. the liberals have to defend the conservatives and vice versa. Quote
