aircooled Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Tired of sitting at the crag getting wet and dirty in your tent? Try out a VW camper van! This van is a WA veteran from summer cragging to winter riding. New engine, new canvas, great bus, in bright orange. 2700.00 OBO lorax_bhm@yahoo.com for info and picts. Quote
Dane Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 and it qualifies for collector plates...never buy another set of tags or plates in WA again! Quote
counterfeitfake Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 ...and struggle to explain how collector's plates work to every law enforcement officer you come into contact with. Quote
Dane Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I've had them on one of my cars for a few years now...never had an issue with the plates. No emissions tests after 30 years. Speeding? Different story. Quote
justinp Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 seems like a good price given a new engine. I love my 85 weekender, but paid almost double that. These are great rigs for climbers, aside from being constantly worried the man may pull you over at any moment. Quote
shapp Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) Could this be the same 74 VW camper that has been on craigslist for awhile, with some potential buyer posting that the seller of the 74 VW camper is full of shit? All of which are no longer present on Seattle Craigslist? Edited November 25, 2010 by shapp Quote
shapp Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) Interesting, no response from the OP. As someone who had a 1974 VW Poptop and did a fair amount of restration on it, a rebuilt engine with installation and new canvas is more than the purchase price. Plus its way below the fair market value unless the body is totally rusted out. Something does't pass the smell test. Edited December 2, 2010 by shapp Quote
