Stavrogin Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 i'm looking for a basic rope for cragging. i figure i should get something thick so it will be durable. i also don't want to spend too much money. REI outlet has some Bluewater 50m on sale for $83 here. any opinions on those ropes? is there a better deal on a rope somewhere else? thanks. Quote
DPS Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 That 10.2 mm looks pretty good, plus you get a free cordelette. I had a Bluewater rope and it was very durable. Quote
cman Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 sounds good except you really want a 60m for craggin'. Quote
Dr_Crash Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I just got that rope in 60 m dry during a trip to Portland a week ago (listed price $129 w/ free cordelette, minus 30% off for Labor Day ). I used it to bring my kids to their first real rock (toproping). Handled very nicely, I like the size and the suppleness of the sheath. drC Quote
