JoshK Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Has anybody else noticed that this thing is considerably smaller than even 3 years ago?? It puts glacier recession in an entirely new category. The permanent snowfield/glacier thing at the base of CJ is smaller too. Finally, the CJ coulior is snowless for a huge section in the middle. I dont remember ever seeing this either. It sucks. Quote
goatboy Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I did comment on this to my friend when I was up there a few weeks ago . . . the Sill presents itself as a small horizontal patch of ice still clinging to the wall, but is much less imposing than in previous years . . . Quote
Bronco Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I think I'll state the obvious here and say that out of all the glaciers, that MOFO will not be missed by many climbers. Quote
JoshK Posted August 11, 2004 Author Posted August 11, 2004 yeah, it wont be missed. it is kind of sad tho as it looks badass. I just cant believe it looks so tiny compared to only a few years ago. Quote
