The pointilists were stunning, "The Pines" by Bremmer was one of the most amazing pieces I have ever seen. Not to mention the Van Goghs and excellent selection of Cubist art. All in all, well worth the $15 and crowd. Quote
ken4ord Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 First Friday of the month the SAM is free. Also there is a pretty good exhibit down at TAM. Andrew Goldsworthy, he is environmental sculpturist, most of the exhibit consists of photographs of his sculptures. Quote

ken4ord Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Most of what is down at TAM in large fomat photographs with 2 instalations, though I wonder if came over to install them or maybe it was just the fact they were inside. I really like the earth cracks that he does, those are cool. Quote

He is like building some "environmental sculpture" and it collapses....and he starts swearing up a storm @#$@#$&@(#*$&@#(*...... it's pretty funny. I think the movie is "Working With Time" or something like that... Quote
Beck Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 ...haven't seen that. First THURSDAY is free at SAM, and they don't let you into the main exhibit, just the standing collections. Lots of great NW coast native stuff, if you haven't been before. Quote
