moonrover
Anyone been up Adams lately? Is it too late to ski it? Or will I have to take off my skis every 30 feet...

b-rock
there's still continous snow from the s summit to the crescent. big suncups and dirty snow, i wouldn't want to ski it anymore, but you sure could.
b-rock
And check the Southern WA Cascades forum, I think some folks were up there skiing a couple weekends ago.
moonrover
damn, looks like I missed the window. Next year... Guess I'll just walk up at some point this summer. Now that there's no rush, that makes my weekend decision-making easy. Granite! Â thanks guys
ogre
My buddy and I did Adams this past Sunday. We're not skiers but were able to glissade from the summit to Piker's to Lunch Counter to the last marker pole. There are some rocks protruding 40 ft. or so from the top of Pikers, after that it's pretty much clear 'sliding' down the hill with an occasional "pullout"....... for rocks of course. Figger_Eight
Brought my skis up there this last weekend. Didn't bother taking them to the summit - too suncupped. The snow below to the treeline wasn't too bad, though. It's a lot of carrying skis for not a whole lot of skiing.
