ryland_moore Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 Or how about an enchantments trip with Colchuck NE Buttress, Serpentine Arrete, complete N. Ridge of Stuart - descending the glacier and back to Colchuck Lake, then heading up over Asgaard Pass and hitting up W. Ridge/S. Face of Prussik? That would be a sweet week-long trip. Ptarmigan Traverse hitting up every major peak on the route? 5-7 days? Props for early season with skis. Quote
willbeclimbin Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 you should definitely go session fossil rock near tacoma for at least 4 days, then hit mt. adams on the way out. Quote
chosskid2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Author Posted July 12, 2004 Thanks again for the feedback. I've never done the torment-forbidden traverse. I'll have to look into that some more. Thanks, forrest m. Quote
Alpinfox Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Mount Olympus is another one you might consider. Nice (long) hike starting at sea-level ( ), going through some old-growth temperate rainforest ( ), plenty of opportunities for bear and elk sightings, easy glacier travel, and a low-5th class rock scramble to a nearly 8000ft tall summit. Most people do it as a three day trip. Beautiful place. Quote
DPS Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 North Ridge of Forbidden from the toe of the ridge. Quote
