Mt. Jeff pinnacle -NW face- Pro needs/options

I am curious if rock pro is worth taking or is the rock too rotten or the placements nil? I'm assuming you have to downclimb?

I've never been up there, but from what I gather, the rock is actually descent and takes pro OK. But the scrambling is 4th class so you probably won't bother placing too much gear.

 

But I'm sure there's plenty others around here who have first hand experience and might be a bit more helpful.

Personally I don't think rock pro is needed on the pinnacle. I climbed the east side of it with boots no rope and no pro, an exposed cakewalk. The rock is actually good there and would take pro well. Make sure to get off that thing early, the pinnacle hails rock when it starts to warm up.
