Ricardo_Montalban Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Just called the r-station (503.395.3400) and the road is open 1 mile from Cold Springs. This has been the status for the last month BUT... She quoted me, "we will probably bust through this weekend" Enjoy! Quote
h2oskier Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 8040 is clear to Cold Springs. We skied the Southwest Chute on Sat. Great snow in good shape.....there is a fair amount of rock fall in the bowling alley at the base of the chute......great skiing!! Quote
Beck Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 The weather was even better on Sunday on top of Adams, no thunderboomers....Saturday there was a officious bitchios FS worker lady at the Trout Lake ranger station recommending people park at Morrison Camp, three miles down the road "because the road wasn't quite open yet" what a crock of s***.....I hope no one listened to her. Bandit Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 Yes, the NF workers are ex Nazi infiltrators that want you to kiss their shiny black storm trooper boots. However, I refused to get on my knees to perform this act and was hastely removed from their air conditioned log office. I was able to procure a permit to climb but with much hesitation from The Nazi's. Quote
gapertimmy Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 show of hands of how many people will be charging down there this weekend? thats right, lets see, 1..2 ...6...12..., ohhh and you back there? how many? maybe we can have a powder 8 competition down the SW chutes? Â I'll install some fixed lines up the south side! Quote
