Gaper_Jeffy Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Last night the snowdepth at Timberline lodge dropped below 100"s for the first time in 7 months. http://www.seawfo.noaa.gov/products/OSOTML Quote
iain Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I don't know where the heck they are measuring that but there are patches of ground showing all over the place below the Magic Mile. Quote
Gaper_Jeffy Posted June 14, 2004 Author Posted June 14, 2004 The measuring site is that pile of snow they plow together in the corner of the parking lot Quote
iain Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I thought they just took the average girth size of the bellies of people entering the lodge and called it good. Quote
JoshK Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Maybe they are doing the thing that resorts in the rockies typically do...measuring in a wind drift. If you've ever skied in UT or CO compare a 100" base there with a 100" base around here. It's night and day. Quote
Gaper_Jeffy Posted June 23, 2004 Author Posted June 23, 2004 Holy shizzle! Within a week the Snowdepth has dropped to 61"s. It's currently 71degrees at T-line, which is warmer then it is in downtown PDX! Can one of the moderators please make a sticky post for a Hood Snowpack Memorial Card/Fund? Quote
