Szyjakowski Posted June 21, 2004 Author Posted June 21, 2004 $225 for garuda Kusala tent. i have all the paperwork and repair stuff. Great tent used 3X's...just not exactly what i am looking for to obtain my climbing objectives. cheers Quote
kweb Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 This is a damn good tent. I have slept in one on Rainier in wind gusts of 70MPH. Other tents collapsed and one was even plucked off the Mtn. The built in vestibule is great. Quote
Alpinfox Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Now that Sizzy has sold his, I've got one for sale and will co-opt his thread. Mine is a Garuda ("By Dana Designs") Kusala and I'll sell it for $200. It's been used for one two-day trip (Glacier Peak) and has been setup in my backyard once or twice. PM or email Alpinfox(at)Yahoo(the usual punctuation)com I don't check that email address very often, so PMing is better if you are a registered user here. Quote
Alpinfox Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Still got a Garuda Kusala tent for sale. Anyone? Come on, daddy needs to buy aid gear! Quote
Alpinfox Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Due to overwhelming popular demand, I set the tent up and took some pics: It's a solid singlewall tent that ventilates well. $200 firm. It's still setup in my backyard, so if you want any more pics, let me know soon. Quote
mattyg Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 What's it weigh in at? And why are you selling it? Quote
Alpinfox Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I'm selling it because I'm an unemployed climbing bum who relies on his partners to bring a tent and I need some money. It's a solid, 2-person, 4-season tent and will serve your mountaineering needs well. I'm not sure about the weight. I've looked around on the web and haven't found a quote for it. I suppose I could go to the Post Office or REI or something and weigh it, but that's a lot of work. I probably won't get around to that in the next few days. Quote
rbw1966 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I'm an unemployed climbing bum. . . and I suppose I could go to the Post Office or REI or something and weigh it, but that's a lot of work. Too busy posting to cc.com at 2 a.m.? Wish I would have seen this before shelling out the frogskins for a new tent. Dayum. Quote
Alpinfox Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Q: Hey Alpinfox, old chap, is that tent of yours still available? A: Why yes... yes it is. Thanks for asking. Quote
Skip_M._Kliphiem Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 You said something about needing the $ for aid gear. How about a trade on a Metolius ElCap Haul Bag? Quote
Alpinfox Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 I need money for gas and food. Both of which are aid I think. Check yo PM's yo. Quote
