According to an NPR story this morning, there were roughly 2,000 pages ommitted from Gen. Taguba's 6,000-page report submitted to Congress. Cute. I reckon that was probably Rumsfeld's idea..."Tell 'em we had to withold sensitive information..."

Hmmm. Interesting. Notice how all the language used in describing the "incidents" refer to abuse, humiliation, and misconduct. Conspicuously absent is the word torture. What do you think the Pentagon would call it if it were our soldiers?

I can barely write a 4 page report. How in the hell do these government types put together 6000 page reports? Who in the hell even reviews more than a tiny fraction of a 6000 page report? If they had left it in would anyone have noticed?
