Liberty Bell Group

Looking to get over to the Liberty Bell Group, perhaps early next week. has anyone been in the last week or so, and if so, can you give me some idea of conditions?

Was up there about ten days ago. What is your intent? Skiing? climbing? ?

I sure would like to do a couple of the climbing routes. Is the road open to the trailhead?

Yes, SR20 is wide open. Bring skis or snowshoes. I was up there on Tuesday to ski, and it was great! It was also nice and cool though.

I was there last weekend.

The road is open to the trailhead.

A little snow on SEWS Arete, a little snow on the Bell.

Did not need axes on routes. Need axe for Beckey route approach. Heres a pic from last weekend. SEWS.

I believe the camera shot is facing SE?

The coulour was filled with snow. Looked easy. Probably easier than it was getting up to the notch between the Bell and Concord.

The next day we scrambled up the S. ridge of Whistler and shot this picture of the back side of the Liberty Bell group. This was taken on the 4-19-04 from the summit of Whistler.
