I will have to dig them out and scan them, but I have some pics for you. What route are you looking at? I will warn you the approach in has thee worst slide alder I have ever crawled through (worse than dome!).

Thanks, that would be cool. Dunno about routes. The only thing I have really is what's in the Beckey. It mentions approaching via Swamp Creek and crossing the Dark glacier. What's the rock like - is that loose crap found elsewhere in the area?

56. Dark Peak, 8,504'/2592m, North Cascades, USGS Agnes Mountain. Dark Peak is a high ridge point NW of Bonanza Peak. The easiest route is via the SW face. Like Bonanza Peak, Dark Peak has abundant loose rock. Those who have climbed it vow to never climb it again, just like Bonanza Peak.

Reference: Cascade Alpine Guide.

I bet Klenke has some pics... check his Summitpost websites for close peaks.

Blake and Jake and JoshKake:

There are some shots on summitpost that have Dark Peak in them but I don't have a single shot of Dark specifically. The peak is not really that prominent (only 264 feet). It is always overmastered by nearby Bonanza. (I also have yet to climb Dark.)

Some pics with Dark featured in them:

The view NNW from Bonanza's summit

Dark Peak and Bonanza Peak from the west (from Mt. Pugh)

Also barely visible in this shot from the NNE (from Tower Mountain)

Right on. Yeah Dark Peak is not prominent at all really - just a little bump. I wonder how easy it would be to traverse the ridge between it and Bonanza.
