Snowboard route recommendations - Rainier

My climbing partner and I are planning to head up to Rainier this Spring. Can anyone offer recommendations for routes that would make for good snowboard descents?

 

2 routes that we have been scoping are:

Fuhrer Finger

Success Couloir

 

Please include your impression of the difficluty of the route, both ascending and descending. We would be stoked to find an ascent route of moderate technical difficulty (we may bring a small rock-climbing rack, but not a true ice-climbing rack), with a good, steep descent (40-50 degrees, possibly with tight chutes).

They were taken in mid-june a few years ago. I guess it would be a good snowboard descent, although when I was on it, there were suncups developing that might have made it sort of dicey.

 

There's not much on Rainier that you'd use rock pro for, except maybe for wedging apart chunks of decaying rock.

Mount Rainier is wayyy condition dependant, but all else being equal, if you come during spring the finger is always a good route. Axe, rope, a picket, scews depending on your comfort level. The descent is on 35 to 45 degree terrain. Come prepared to downclimb the route or descend another.

Board the Nisqually Ice Fall. It offers a mile of jumps, some are 80+ high. Just set up the camera crews at the jump bases and WM will be calling in no time.

the kautz cleaver or headwall?(something like that) offer some good looking descents without too much creavasse or broken up skiing. i went up to the FF a few years ago in early july and it was way too sun cupped to make any turns. it is in good condition in spring, above will probably suck
