Jbetoo Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Anybody out there climb the dog route the past few days? I'm planning on going up Thursday morning about 5 a.m. or so. Just wondering if anybody had any idea about snow conditions; i plan on bringing my board up. Quote
natazoo Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 Yeah, how was it?? I am planning a Devils Kitchen Headwall climb Sunday. Anybody have ideas on weather I'll need snowshoes for the approach or not? How about any beta on the far left variation? I am planning on taking about 1/2 dozen screws and a few picketts. Thanks!!! Quote
rbw1966 Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 Doubt you'll need snowshoes. Skis would be fun. Pickets might be unnecessary but I'd take two just in case. Quote
Sabertooth Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 I've never seen ice on the Devil's Kitchen Headwall, it might be possible though. Maybe 2 pickets, 2 or 3 screws, and 2 tools. Â The 1C Couloir in Oregon High gets lots of windblown powder deposits in it. You'll know very quickly if it's going to go or not. Â Check your forecast. Tomorrow's weather looks good, Sunday looks bad to me. Quote
ryland_moore Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 Taking a newbie up this weekend and don't feel like bringing a rope and pickets. Any problems with the shrund? I doubt it is even showing, but would like to make sure there are no issues getting around it. Quote
cluck Posted March 13, 2004 Posted March 13, 2004 I guess you've probably figured it out by now... but no, the bergie isn't open. In fact, you can hardly even make out where it is supposed to be. Quote
Blake Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 How did it go? how was the snow and overall conditions? Quote
