Yeah that is what I figured. That is cool though. As for rain, I have live in Washington for long enough that I dont think it'll be an issue. I am just stoked for all the killer fishing! Thanks for the confirmation. bigdrink.gifthumbs_up.gif

So many caves yet to be explored...the cave system on POW is second to none. The trick is to find them. A lot are still hush-hush The limstone associated with the caves is your best bet for climbing. Mountain biking (fireroad biking)will probably be your mainstay or fishing or kayaking...As far as the rain goes - Washington is a desert!!

For the truly desperate (which I was at the time), I did a glue-up bolted route on one of the cement pillars under the Maybeso Creek Bridge just west of Hollis. This was about 30 years ago, so I'm assuming it's still there.

On another note, I'm watching a National Geographic series right now on Port Protection, which is at the far north (slightly northwest) end of POW Island. In the background on many of the scenes are some seriously cool looking crags!

The other place that I always wanted to check out is Cape Felix on Suemez Island (southwest of the town of Craig). It's basaltic columns that shoot up from the western side of the island, facing the open sea. Super cool!
