catbirdseat
I was on my way to work this morning and was listening to the news on the radio. They announced that a man was shot in his car at a business park in Bothell. Hmm, I thought, that could be Canyon Park. Sure enough it was. There was crime scene tape everywhere and police walking up and down the sidewalks. KIRO TV had a truck there. Police are looking for a blue Buick, license number 886 MWO. vegetablebelay
A few years ago I lived in a condo up on Capitol Hill. Late one night I heard a bunch of shots right outside. I crawled over to the window and peered out and saw a taxi idling in the middle of the street and shortly after I heard the sirens coming. Turns out the passenger bolted from the cab without paying. Taxi driver apparently chased him toward his doorway and passenger turned toward him. Taxi driver thought he had a gun and blasted him. Also turns out that wasn't the first victim of that driver. catbirdseat
Remember, if you have to shoot a non-paying customer, always say you thought he was reaching for a gun. It works most of the time. Isn't that right, trask?

allthumbs
This is a tragedy for sure. A fucked up crime perpetrated by an obviously unstable moron. Let's not make this a gun issue, okay?
minx
why not? it is a gun issue
allthumbs
Not really. A gun was the weapon of choice, but this isn't about the weapon, it's about love and hate and revenge. It has the makin's of a good mini-series.
lummox
guns dont kill people. it is the dispersement of the kinetic energy of the bullet penetrating the victims body that kills people.

Dru
When I read "wounded man" and "ex-Boyfriend" I wondered at first if it wasn't a "gay" issue But I presume on closer examination there may be a woman involved and the shooter and victim are current and ex?
