jhamaker
Other than Rainier, Hood, and St. Helens, what volcanos and what routes have good rd access right now for an easy two day ski? S Side preferred.

jhamaker
From maps and http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/wrec/d3_ccs.htm#mapyes, it could be done. But would *you* do it? 10 miles and 8,000ft to the summit.
b-rock
Almost did it two weekends ago. Gave up at about 10K because of high winds, and well, we were really there to ski. Right, and we made it a three day trip because of an afternoon start and the fact that the sno-park was not accessable and we parked 2.5 miles away (should be melted out by now - almost was on the way back to the car). Its long, but yeah, it could be done in two. Or rather to answer your question, I'd do it and if I did it again, I would try for two days. roboclimber
Theres' this real cool place I recently found for great telemark skiing, man I can't believe how accessible it is. The snow was great and the views on a clear day are fantastic and its not too far away from Mount Rainier. Here is the best way to get there, just follow the signs for Crystal Mnt.
