Who was afraid of heights when they started climbing ? Or still?

I remember having the goal of reaching the top of the UW wall for 1 year or so before I finally did it (solo, of course). I was so freakin' afraid of heights I almost peed on my first follow. Now I am fine with it, albeit 14 years later... tongue.gif

I heard a comedian once talking about fear of heights:

" I am not really afraid of heights , because I can be up 3000 feet, and if I am 20 feet back, I am fine."

"But if I am 20 feet up and on a narrow ledge, I am scared shitless !"

"So I guess I am afraid of widths !!" yellaf.gif

I'm usually pretty scared if I'm up 15 feet or so with no rope and there's any exposure. And I am still terrified of climbing anything taller than my 4 step stepladder. I used to hate when it was my turn to climb up onto the roof in winter and clear the snow from around the stovepipe.
