ski_photomatt Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 For Sale: La Sportiva Karakoram boots, size 43.5 (US mens 10-10.5) Excellent condition, only used a few times. They are too small for my feet. Look here for reviews Outdoor Review They have been discontinued by La Sportiva and replaced by the Eigers. As far as I can tell the boots are nearly identical, except I've been told the Eigers are less durable due to a poorly designed leather/sole interface. $125 or best offer. icegirl Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 Wee bit flexible, the ridged cramps have a tendancy to pop off of things that are not full shank (or so I've experienced)... Or I should say, I don't think I'd trust 'em with my rambo comps, but as far as alpine stuff with flexible cramps... As far as I understand, flexible for really technical stuff is fine as long as it's in the ankle, not the sole of the boot. If I'm way off base, I'm open to input, but it would take a bit to change my mind... Quote

icegirl Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 My error then about the full shank. So you've done a bit of waterfall ice and mixed in them and they perform well? Good to know. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 relatively speaking, a very little bit. i just know i like them and don't have any complaints ... except that they're not so warm. Quote
