Not realizing that they just missed out on seeing a beautiful cloud form and dissipate, or on really listening to what their loved ones are saying, or seeing an old woman smile. lancegranite Posted October 19, 2003 Author Posted October 19, 2003 Now,what were we talking about? oh yes, We are afraid to pursue our true potental. falling is failure, sending is success. real gains come only to those who are willing to lose. Â Quote

catbirdseat Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 It sort of depends on what you define as "real gains". What is an unreal gain? Do you mean what is truly important as opposed to what others perceive as important? There are a number of worthwhile activities that are relatively low risk. Quote
lancegranite Posted October 19, 2003 Author Posted October 19, 2003 excellent! A real gain might be one that enriches our life.. a unreal one may be a mechanism that we use to judge ourselves.. "If I could send ..." "when I finally.." "I can't do.." Â I am guilty.. We all are trying to evolve at the same time, our speeds are just different. We take turns.. Evolution does not always happen slowly, sometimes it is thrust upon us. other times, it seeps up around us like fog,we never noitce, until our vision is obscured.. Maybe our reaction to change is what is inportant in the end.. Â Quote

Enlightenment comes from letting go on top rope! YEP I have actualy heard this ( or something akin) or read it somewhere before...prolly here  bull shit... enlightenment means leaving the rope in the car. enlightenment my dear young friend is a personal journey... it is best to not judge anothers enlightenment, and keep yer eyes on yer own... otherwise you lose track and fall flat on yer face. learning to face what you fear most is a GOOD thing. If what you fear most is climbing with out rope and pro... then maybe that is what you need to consider. If what you fear most is not impressing someone with your accomplishements, then perhaps it is time to rethink why it is you climb and what is most important to you.  GO CLIMB! HAVE FUN! ENJOY LIFE!
