viktor Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 There is a new crag to the right of Clem's Holler on the way to the Nut House, Maple Heights. The route there is 5.9, a few bolts and gear to 2". (90' more or less). At the Nut House is a short new sport route, Pistachio Pillar, 5.10c/d, 6 or 7 clips. It follows the greenish rock to the left of State of Delusion. check em out. VK Quote
Peter_Puget Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Sounds good! I have heard great things about the routes there. Now that it has cooled off I am psyched to go. Quote
EWolfe Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Thanks Viktor! By the way, nice job on the new book Quote
dkemp Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Yeah, I'm really enjoying the new book also - thanks! Doxey Quote
scot'teryx Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 clems holler rocks! i think "gun rack" is a real fun bolted climb, and the third pitch of the 5.8/5.8/5.10 route Quote
Beck Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 nice work to whoever put up nut house and puzzle palace, real good job! we were up there today, messing around. Andy sent something to some chains on something that wasn't in the book. good job on the new development, but why did you put the rocks so high up the hill? Quote
Crackbolter Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 Beck, What routes did you do at Puzzle Palace and Nuthouse? Also, where was the route located that was not listed in the book? It could be one of the routes Viktor is refering to. It would be useful to desribe the routes so others can reference this discussion in the future. Care to give a complete report? Quote
Beck Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 Andy Fitz sent pistachio pillar and said it was real enjoyable. Oh, and props on the way it was set, good positioning of the anchors... I as rehabbing a broken thumb and double bruised ribs this summer so i was climbing more 5.8ish and checking out my grippers at clamshell. Andy really liked it, and the crag development looked excellent. There's probably nothing else much up there anyone needs to develop up there oh, and Viktor, props on the guidebook, it makes my head spin Quote
