David_Coleman
Just curious if anyone has got any beta on conditions for the Park Glacier, and more particularly the headwall 'shrund? Was on the summit a couple of weeks ago, and noticed a well beaten climbers path straight up the Park. Any info. is greatly appreciated. catbirdseat
I can do midweek. The Park is the only glacier on Baker I haven't done yet.

Just kidding. I think Dave is shooting for skiing the Park Headwall, though. He isn't really a climber, he skins up glaciers even in mid-August! Sorry, Dave, couldn't resist. I bet you haven't done the Squock or the Mazama or the Rainbow. Probably not even the Talum.

Bill_Simpkins
I saw the path too. Looks good around that area. Looked like some slots to negotiate right before camp at the Portals. Everything looked pretty much open up. The headwall looked slightly cornassed from my vantage point, but I could be wrong. The steep part at the end of the Cockscome route (right of the head) looked pretty icy but didn't appear to be cornassed. The approach is in good condition. Bill_Simpkins
I was on Colman Pinnacle last week too. Then went up almost to the Portals. There were some Canadians heading up the Park Glacier Route.
