Alpine_Tom
I'd go to hear Tom Hornbein, but it's hard to know what he could say about the movie besides “it’s all ludicrous – every scene.” It’s like those “The Science of Star Trek” specials they used to do. tomtom
FYI... "Science at the Movies", a free film and lecture series hosted by the Dept. of Chemistry, is pleased to announce its next event "The Limits of Vertical Limit". The event includes a talk by mountain climber and scientist Dr. Thomas Hornbein along with a screening of the movie "Vertical Limit". The event is Monday, February 11, 2002 at 7pm in Bagley Hall 131. This is a free event. The aim of "Science at the Movies" is to introduce and enlighten the general public about the science occuring at the University of Washington and to engage them in thinking critically about the science portrayed in movies.
