Dave_Schuldt Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 My new Jeckyll 1000 , took it out for a 46 mile ride today. It's an 01 so it was marked down from $2400 to $1500. First soft tail, cruises right over the bumps. Spray on suckers got it at Montlake Cycles in Seattle, looked like they had another one in extra large. Quote
Off_White Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 Dude, you could get a good car for less than that. Quote
Kiwi Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 Congrats, mate. I'm looking at a bike too--used road bike. Damn these things are expensive. I'd rather save up for a good car. Quote

Try Recycled Cycles on Boat street in the U District, Seccond Asent on Balard Ave in Balard and Free Range Cycles in Fremont. Quote

Thanks. I'll check those places out. I've been to Second Ascent before. They didn't have much when I went. I'll go again to see if they got some new used bikes in. But I don't consider $500 for a 10+ year old relic a deal. I'm sure it was state of the art and $2000+ back in the late 80s... Quote

catbirdseat Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 Dave, you ought to make it look like shit, so no one will want to steal it. Can't leave a shiny new bike like that anywhere, even with a cable on it. Enjoy and take care. Quote
