skyclimb Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 After mtb. many miles for many days in a row i find that my legs start to max out. Is there any types of foods that can help the re-cooperation process so i can break the plateau? Quote
sketchfest Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 Sky, don't forget to rest. Even though you might think that you need to ride a lot to improve or take you to the next level, rest between hard workouts can be the best solution. It's a tear down and rebuilding process that does not come quickly, but it will allow you to come back from a recovery session stronger than you went into it. Oh, and drink LOTS of water. Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 also...absorbrion of nutrients is most effective 60 minutes after your workout, so eat you recovery meals soon after your workout and a larger % will go into your muscles... Quote
kitten Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 Drink tons of water to stay hydrated, and adding an electrolyte substance will make a world of difference. Quote
