cman Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 anyone got any beta on this tent? it is cheap and fairly lightweight for a 4 season tent. is it a good deal or a piece of crap? and spare me the bibler talk, i am only asking because i may be able to get a good deal on one and my budget is not going to mysteriously quadruple. Thanks Quote
snoboy Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 I've only played with it in the store. It sets up real easy. You can pitch just the outer and leave the inner tent behind for an ultralight bivi style shelter. It seemed plab to me, but I've only played with it in the store. Quote
cman Posted April 18, 2003 Author Posted April 18, 2003 Thanks. If the price is right i may just have to go for it. Quote
mdidriksen Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 A friend of mine has one. Seems really nice, spent two nights in it, but in mild weather. Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but I don't think the fly separates from the rest of the tent. Quote

You just don't seperate it in normal use. From the Marmot website. Fly fabric: 75d Polyester R/S 2000mm Floor fabric: 70d Nylon 5000mm Canopy: 40d Nylon R/S Bold mine. Quote
JackY Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 This tent looks like a good light weight/low cost solution, but no vestibule? Can life go on with no vestibule? Quote
marylou Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 I would seriously consider waiting until next spring to buy a new tent. I think there is going to be a lot of new stuff coming out. Quote
