Improved this year, Dryskin Extreme® utilizes Schoeller’s revolutionary new 3XDRY® a revloutionary treatment that improves internal wicking dry times by 75% and features significantly improved water resistance. Simply the finest multi-purpose outdoor fabric on the market today. • Schoeller® Dynamic™: A woven blend of Nylon and Lycra®. Dynamic™ is lightweight, permanently elastic, wind, water, and abrasion resistant, breathable, moisture regulating, and easy to care for. Schoeller's unique layered weaving capabilities result in the most superior woven fabric on the market. Developed for users who make high demands on durability, freedom of movement, and comfort. • Schoeller® WB400™: A woven Dynamic™ face fabric, coated membrane, and microfleece polyester lining. Completely waterproof, windproof, and exceptionally warm WB400™ is a durable moisture-regulating barrier to heat loss. • Cloudburst Stretch EV3™: An innovative new waterproof/breathable that is more than twice as breathable as standard 3-Layer laminates. EV3™ is two times as breathable as our previous Cloudburst Stretch Light™ increasing from 9,000 to 18,000 grams. EV3™ also features a new Super DWR (durable water repellant) that has a 100 wash rating, significantly reducing the risk of evaporative heat loss and increasing the ability of the EV3™ laminate. • Cloudburst 2.5™: Cloudburst 2.5™ is a 2.7 oz., 50-denier ripstop fabric with a durable hydrophobic, microporous, and hydrophilic layered coating that provides waterproof/breathable/windproof protection. Cloudburst 2.5™ breathability is achieved through a series of micropores in the coating, and via vapor transport. A unique polymer textured finish on the interior of the layered coating eliminates the need for a tricot lining, provides exceptional durability, and features a soft smooth dry-touch texture. Cloudburst 2.5™ distinctive construction is lightweight, and much more compressible than typical 3-layer fabrics. • Polartec® Thermal Pro™: Super High Loft Polartec® Thermal Pro® is produced through a proprietary knitting process which gives this fabric the highest warmth-to weight-ratio of any fabric Polartec® has ever made. Thermal Pro® is extremely lightweight, breathable, and compressible and was designed to offer tremendous warmth as a technical mid layer without impairing range of motion or adding weight. Thermal Pro® approaches down for warmth, yet unlike down it provides insulation when wet and dries very quickly. • Polartec® Powerstretch®: Powerstretch® has a fast-wicking inner surface that is comfortable next-to-skin and moves moisture quickly. Durable nylon outer surface resists pilling and abrasion and increases wind resistance. Body moisture vapor passes through fabric so the garment breathes. Lycra® provides wonderful four-way stretch. • Polartec® Powerdry™: Patented BiPolar™ construction has two unique surfaces: the soft inner layer rapidly wicks perspiration away from the body, while the durable outer layer spreads moisture for maximum evaporation. Powerdry® is a versatile base layer and beyond fabric. • Polartec® Windbloc® : A Polartec® micro-fleece with a windproof laminate, durable water-repellent finish, and moisture wicking polyester mesh lining. The Windbloc™ laminate provides excellent protection from ridge top winds. Ideal for outdoor activities in extreme conditions that warrant superb technical insulation. • Primaloft® One™: The finest in synthetic insulation. Primaloft® One™ is a patented mircofiber synthetic down. It is as warm and soft as down, water resistant, highly compressible, retains over 85% of it’s warmth when wet, and dries quickly. Primaloft® One’s thermal resistance (R-Value) is the highest in the industry. but what about Polartec Powershield (Gamma SV, MEC Pamir) and Powershield Lite (Gamma MX)? oh technical regurgitator? pu Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Everyone makes a softshell of some sort. Mammut will have the Laser out in fall. It is wb400 with a hood. It is the only welded one on the market. It will cost slightly less than a Gamma MX Hoody. Mammut will also be releasing the Cerro Torre which is wb 400 with powerstretch sides and underarms. Quote

skyclimb Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Gotta be the shit for that money, but why spend the flow? Many other cheaper brands, just as durable. Arc has nice design, very snug fit, good for ice climbing in specific. Alpine shit, but not worth the flow. Quote
cracked Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 I was thinking Beyond......Fleece, that is. Quote
