sacred?

So I read this little article on Shiprock, NM and it says it's sacred and can't be climbed...and I ask myself, "Self, why is this? Why should anyone claim that public land is sacred (and I say that reservation land is public at this point)?" I say BS. What say you?

Haven't we done enough damage to the native americans of this country? I read that they are now having to set up institutes to preserve their indigineous languages which will sadly soon be lost. Let em have their rock...don't you have enough rock around here (and in Austria) to climb...hmmm?

Methinks they are getting their just desserts with the casino industry - taking that which caused their minimization (the almighty dollar) and turning it back against us.

Think: A person that has lost all of their money, their life, job and family from gambling must turn in other directions to find sense of self...
