ivan Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 so i got the whole damn week off, starting today...course the weather finally decided to turn crappy. i got the weekends covered, but i'm looking to find some trouble on the weekdays. anybody feel like doing something something fun? if the weather's shitty, we could do something in the leavenworth area (dragontail, colchuck balanced, cragging, etc.), otherwise i'm interested in gib ledges or sandy glacier headwall. pm me or call 360 882 6589 Quote

It only hurts when I laugh!!! Damn I guess that's all the time I climbed alll day Sunday with it at the waterfall, I'll be damned if it will keep me from going up again!! I can get off work by 3pm Friday!! Quote
JoshK Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 How did you hurt your knee? Mine is super sore from taking a dinner plate to it while belaying in hyalite yesterday. I also have a lovely black and blue nose and a bumb on my lower forehead from ice. I think belaying is nearly as dangerous as climbing when on ice! Quote
Rocksanyone Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 Oh, you should see my face! I have a nice gash on my chin, My bottom lip was split and my forhead also was home to a nice bloody lump. My knee hit the Ice rapping down a slick piece of ice. That was my fault. I was in aw of my first Multi pitch Ice climb. John took a pict after my face grinding day, maybe he'll post it here for everyone to see just how ugly I am.. It was like a war zone belaying that day! Quote
JoshK Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 Yup, welcome to ice climbing...my nose is black and blue and I have a nice forhead bump from taking a nice block across the face. It's just part of the game...find a good place to belay from and take cover! Quote
