angelb Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) Trip: Guye Peak - South GullyTrip Date: 02/20/2020Trip Report: I climbed the south gully of Guye Peak this thursday, the first half of the route was in good conditions up to a steep rock wall covered with soft snow, I turned to the right out of the gully and climbed straight up in a lot of powder snow for the rest of the climb. Snowshoes highly recommended for the approach. Gear Notes: 2 ice axesApproach Notes: Snowshoes Edited February 22, 2020 by angelb 1 1 Quote
bigeo Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I climbed that when I was in high school (about 40 years ago). I took a 30' fall (unroped, thank god) and landed in a soft, deep pile of snow. I was unfazed, but my partners were sure freaked out. 1 1 Quote
