dave Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 Does anyone know if the routes around Newhalem shown on the misha site stay dry during rain, seep a lot etc. Are they any good? Quote
icegirl Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 Depends on what grade you climb. they are beautiful routes, not contrived, some really really nice lines, but on the stiff side. There is only one 5.9 if I remember correctly. The group putting them up has done a LOT of work out there, trails, gardening, so please respect the area. You have to walk down the road a bit now that the DOT people put up new railings. Some routes stay dry, yes, and if it's raining in torrents, heck just head over to Mazama (when the N. Cascade hwy is open that is) Quote
