I'll venture two more guesses before giving up Mt Overseer? (I think there is a hut nearby, which makes it more likely someone would be skiing there maybe?) or somewhere near Mt Athelstan?

Ok, how about another hint: is the peak in "southern BC", i.e. south of Lillooet/Pemberton (including duffy lake road area). Or is it futher up north "exotic" like up the lillooet river/hurley river/central coast range.

Is the first one Mt Shuksan, Sulfide glacier? hmm... if it's something in the Coast Mtns, that's not fair, that could be anywhere! there's nothing really distinctive in the shot.

    1) Jim Nelson did a "winter conditions" route on it. 2) photo taken less than a mile from a road. 3) it already appeared way in the background of a picture a few pages back 4) commonly seen, but I don't think commonly climbed it's not a wine spire, cutthroat, or goldenhorn, and it's also not Index.

Not Cuthroat either, but good guess (though it isn't close to cutthroat). Hint #3 - I think there's actually a picture of it already a few pages back, in the background of one of the other pictures.

No, not Burgundy... mattp already guessed the wine spires.. Hint #2: the photo was taken less than a mile from a road.

I think you're right, that looks like Luna... then the peak in the background would be... Fury? (just guessing from looking at a map).

Plexus, nope, it's not Goldenhorn. Hint #1: Jim Nelson did a route in winter conditions on this mtn. In fact, this face.

Didn't someone say it was the Eldorado glacier? Looks like someone going along the wind scoop on the way up to the flat part of the glacier.

    Mystery Photo

Nope, it's not the Wine Spires. I think the rock is probably pretty crappy on this mtn.

Um, scottP that's the Chopping Block... again! With Mt Despair in the background.

    Mystery Photo

ScottP, is the photo supposed to be only the top of a mtn? Chopping Block? oh - nevermind, now the whole photo is downloading... I'm pretty sure its the chopping block...

What is this one? everyone has seen it, but usually from a distance.

Proper, is that Mt Challenger? I've never been there, but the mountain in the left background looks like Mt Fury, based on pictures I've seen.

Is this one the north side of Methow Pinnacles?
  19. The thing I don't like about the Andinista is that it is too high, and hits your head. However, I've learned to compensate for this by shoving the entire top section into the main section (still leaving them attached) and cinching it mostly shut. Then it's almost like a day pack. If there's not enough room to shove it in the main section, then you've probably got a heavy pack, so the lack of head maneuverability probably isn't such a big deal. The other thing is the straps seems to undo themselves more easily than on other packs (the compression straps, and the waist belt).

Is that Mt Triumph with the NE ridge on the left skyline?

It's the route up the weakness on the right side. My guess is the guy is under the big roof thing. The std rap route is on the left skyline.
  23. The correct spelling is: "Eeyore"
  24. I recall that couloir looking like a really nice winter line, but I don't remember looking to see if it was continuous snow top to bottom - it seems like it might be difficult to get into from the bottom - most of it is hidden in the photo. I think this is the "east gully" route in Beckey or something.
  25. You're right. You caught me. I faked the photo. This was the original unmodified version:
