  1. I didn't know her on a deep personal level but climbed with her several times, and ran into her here and there at the crags and gym. I first met her when I was getting into trad. She invited me out with her crew to Trout Creek and made me feel welcome. Tragic, unfortunate loss for sure RIP Laurel
  2. Awesome read. With a great partnership amazing things can happen. Thanks for this inspiration and congrats on the accomplishment Blake!
  3. I'm looking to climb Davis Holland and linkup with Lovin' Arms this weekend. I'd like to find a competent, safe trad partner! I climb/lead low 5.10s and can get through 5.11s but not clean (yet). Looking for a partner with similar skills (or if you're stronger that works too). I live in Seattle and climb at SG and VW but mostly like to climb outside. Let me know if any interest. This weekend is gonna be great weather, but hoping to get there early to beat the afternoon heat. I've got a full rack, rope (70m 9.8) and car. I live in Seattle. Julian / digitalsy @ gmail . com
  4. On March 16th I lost my beloved Patagonia R1 fleece hoody (red wax color, size medium) at the Sunshine Wall area in Vantage. If anyone has this or knows anyone that found it around this time, I would really appreciate having it returned. It was quite expensive and I'm currently unemployed so it stings that much more Thanks, Julian 425-213-8051
  5. This post cost me $250...haha well spent though, I needed it all.
  6. I'm actually looking to get a membership at vworld seattle (currently go to stone gardens) just to mix it up a bit, and do a lot more rope/lead climbing. I've been trying to meet more people and have some partners already lined up, but the more the merrier especially if I'm investing in a 2nd gym membership. I'd be available after 5pm on weekdays. If that works out for you, let me know! I lead 5.11a/b and TR 5.12s...
  7. Sorry Mick, I was in Squamish this weekend and didn't see this. I need to check my account settings to see if I can get emailed when there are replies, because I didn't get one so had no idea you replied here. I hope you found a partner for this weekend! Feel free to hit me up in the future!
  8. Will you be there on Saturday 9/14 too? If so, I'll drive up from Seattle and would love to climb! I don't yet have my own rack though, so as long as you do, we'll be set! Let me know!
  9. I did Outer Space last weekend - amazing climb. It was actually my 2nd trad multi-pitch. I probably can't lead Hyperspace yet, but I'd be happy to follow and lead some of the easier pitches or climb Orbit with you. Sunday sounds better as the weather will be nicer. FYI, I'm a strong climber but still relatively new to trad, so gaining my bearings. But, I've done a lot in a small amount of time, and learn quick. If you don't mind going a bit slower, give me a shout! --Julian
  10. I've just started climbing more sport and have recently begun trad and multi-pitch and I'm absolutely loving it! I've been learning from a friend of mine, and have done some pretty nice classic routes in WA in the past few weeks. I've started leading on gear, and feel mostly comfortable leading 5.8 and 5.9 (depending on the route), and can generally follow up to 5.10b (so far). For sport, I can redpoint/almost onsight 5.11a. I don't yet have my own rack, or alpine slings/draws but have everything else needed. I'm looking for a partner that wants to climb trad, multi-pitch, or alpine, or all of the above mostly for consistent weekend climbing, whether it be Index, or Leavenworth, WA Pass or anywhere else I need to go that I haven't been to (a lot of places). Let me know if you're interested! digitalsy@gmail Thanks, Julian
  11. I live in Seattle and am looking to gain more trad/crack experience. I might be interested in this if you haven't left yet. I could leave technically tonight or early tomorrow morning. As far as experience, I've done a few multi-pitch trad routes recently, have climbed and led crack up to 5.9 in Index, Leavenworth and WA pass. I've followed up to 5.10b. I can lead redpoint 5.11a sport routes, and climb up to V5 boulders. I'm still relatively new to trad and very new to crack, but eager to learn and learning quick. I don't have a rack but have my own rope, and all the rest (no alpine draws though). Let me know if you're interested.
