  1. Not to worry Chad we hit the pillars too just didn't post the picks Thanks Kurthicks for the Leavenworth update
  2. Thanks Alex We did not walk any further then this A lot of Snow was falling and we were concerned with the Avalanche potential further up into the bowl. Has anyone recently checked out the Hotline or WI 3+ to see if they are in? (by the way) By your description if the Kiddie Cliff are where I think they are, they are not in at all.
  3. Hiked Back into Alpental today Found good climable ice at the Kiddie Cliff? or Wrap Wall? The folks that were there said it was the Wrap Wall, but when I read the Wrap Wall Description in the guide book it did not sound correct. The area fit the description of the Kiddie Cliffs It was worth the hike. Deffinately need snow shoes or skis as a lot of new snow has fallen in the past 24 hours. some pics are below By the way if you can definatively identify it as the Kiddie Cliffs or Wrap Wall; I would be interested in knowing Golden Retriever (Honey) mascot for the day toughed out the cold Andy
  4. great info everybody thanks I deffinately have targets for Saturday and Sunday I will keep this going, linking any TR from my weekend thanks again
  5. Nice mountainmatt I look forward to hearing the TR as we were thinking about reconing the area tomorrow. did it take screws?? 2 miles in where? up the summer trail?
  6. I am from back east No real ice in the Gunks. instead, it is not that far to head north to the Adirondaks for great Ice! go to this site for conditions and to possibly find a climbing partner www.neice.com
  7. Thanks for the info Alex I look forward to the conditions page being update
  8. something you can go up more then once, and still have something left for additional runs or something that is not more mixed then ice.
  9. like everyone else, I am psyched to swing the tools, but am tired of having my day of possible ice climbing turn into a conditioning hike. Yes, I know, I can just wait until later in the season or go far north, but regardless maybe we can save each other the hassle of driving far for nothing. So, Since the rains and within a 3 hour drive of Seattle does anyone know of ice routes that are in that are worth the trip? Or just confirm what you know is not in, to save the rest of us the long drive. thanks Andy
  10. FYI Snoqualmie A buddy of mine hiked around Alpental today and said it looked bleak; not worth wasting our time on. He didn't hike as far back as Source lake so not sure about that area.
  11. Thanks for the links Farrgo I PM'd you
  12. Goatboy Hubba Hubba was not in here is a pic zoomed in. Just a little blob of ice down on the bottom right
  13. We were one of those parties there yesterday I checked the map and there is no name for the drainage/creek it is on the approach path we took was clumbsy at best bush wacking our way over there. Alex maybe we should name it for future references "nothing else in falls" "december 1 falls" "desparate for ice falls" LOL
  14. thanks is there a Utah Ice site like this to post on??

  17. Hello all Thanks for all the input. Sorry I have been off the Radar since I asked the question back on 7/31/07. Just got back from taking the kids to Glacier NP & Yellowstone NP, it was great! So it looks like eveyone is saying climb early in the morning and suggests climbing in certain areas for easy access or to avoid the heat, however I really haven't seen anyone say I am in for climbing the morning of the 8th. I see that Marylou and crackers are meeting end of the day Friday on the floor. Is everyone on this string invited? where on the floor? Thanks again for all the input Andy
  18. Anyone heading out to SLC for the Outdoor Retailer Show? interested in climbing on 8/8/07 perhaps, Little Cotton Wood Canyon?? Andy
