anyone had any experience with the new mountain hardwear packs?? specificaly the trance? i know they just came out i was wondering if anyone had gotten ahold of one early. i checked them out at the outdoor store and they look solid, just looking for some firsthand info. thanks

the extreme cold or if you were going to run diesel or keroseen would be the only reason i would replace it. i lost the one in my dragonfly years ago and havent missed it. even at -25f i didnt really miss it. i would have made it prime faster. you can buy a msr repair kit for your xgk and there will be a new wick in the kit. or like someone else said, get creative and use something else.

hello everyone. my name is Andy. im 26 and an electrician in portland. my girlfriend and I just moved out here to p-town from minnesota. been checking out the site for a while now and have learned alot. i have been climbing rocks for about 5 years. we climbed adams in october and try to get out and hike around on hood to get used to the altitude. i look foward to meeting some new climbers in the area!
