http://static.flickr.com/68/191968757_b80f53a0c3_o.jpg (you can't post pics in the threads here, can you?) it went great.... not really sure what we did exactly, started on Cruiser(s)??, then SE corner, then cut across a traverse to some easy scrambling to a sort of camping ledge, then rapped down a few times to cracks part way up, a 5.10a and a 5.9. ran into Jim, Joseph, Kevin, and Rick. are some of those guys on here? it was a great day all around! just beautiful weather..... OT: then tried to hit the Walking Man Brewery after for grub which CLOSES AT 8?? (it was 9:30) then tried to hit the Wind River Hot Springs and found out that that is closed now, after 20+ years? anyone know about this? can you still get in through Carson, just not over the prvate land? what a bummer!

i would love to go to the Butte today, but i think i am severely allergic to something there. not really sure but, the last two times i've been, i've gotten totally ill keep me updated on any other places you might go though.... i'm going to check the pollen count and maybe i'll be out at the Butte once things tone down a bit?? eventually i'll get back to the Butte. phew, not allergic to anything at Beacon though, or seemingly anywhere else for that matter

Hey Bill, sorry to hear about your injury *yikes* glad you are feeling better enough to go out again! does this mean you'll only be running 3 laps at a time now instead of 6+? i'll be at Beacon on Sunday doing some easy/moderate climbing... Should be a beautiful day, my wednesday Beacon outing/day off got rained out so i went mountain biking in Post Canyon instead.

this just looks like a spectacular trip........great photos.

We were just up there from Friday through Saturday and it was blazing! We had to hike an extra two miles in and out on the road, but by Saturday, people had already busted their way up to Cold Springs. The snow was great up high at 11, but sticky below. I think a summit at 10 would have been ideal.

Good for you Bill! That is a crazy story, but so glad you took action. Bri was great and brought a plastic bag down today and cleaned up as she went. Every little bit makes a difference......What a crazy exciting proactive story.....and to think we were just sitting around drinking beer while this all went down! Today was really great. Thanks so much for the anchors to climb on. I definitely want to come out when you are setting them up and help and watch. Great meeting you and John, can't wait to do it again..... PS sweet too, you spelled my name right! next time.....

I would be up way up for checking out Carver next time, i too have never been but have heard good things......read this a little too late...... And as far as Rocky Butte tomorrow, i'm leaving that up to Bri..... i guess she knows where we're going..... Looking forward to meeting some of you, Bri has only had good things to say about climbing with you guys.......

OK girl.......we'll be at Broughton's Bluff in the morning after walking the dogs to the river to swim. come out after your housemate meeting, we;ll be looking for you.... for anyone else, i'll be the one with dark braids, come and say hello, we'll be doing some simple trad on the right hand wall and maybe some toproping on the sickle and hammer......
