Climb: Three Fingered Jack-South Ridge
Date of Climb: 8/20/2006
Trip Report:
I won't bore you guys with too many details, since Jack has been popular lately but Kevin_Matlock and I went up on Sunday.
Simply hiked in the 5 miles or so the climbers trail, headed on up to ridge, scrambled up, dropped our packs, belayed across the Crawl, scrambled some more, waited 2 hours for our turn up the pinnacle, summitted, then did the whole thing in reverse.
The interesting part was our view of the fires on Washington and Jefferson. We heard that the approach to Washington was actually closed, even though the Puzzle fire looked a bit more impressive.
Gear Notes:
Cam on summit pitch, quickdraws, etc.
