  1. I should be there on sunday during the morning till 3ish
  2. Ive got the OR Alti gloves while they keep my hands warm, (usually to warm) I rarely use them, sometimes in winter. I feel that i loose to much dexterity with them and are to heavy to take to just use in camp where i would use mittens instead anyways. But if absolute dexterity isn't an issue they are warm for me.
  3. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with neoprene socks? Wondering if they really do keep your feet warmer and if they are comfortable. Good for winter? Higher altitude, ect.

  7. Recently aquired a cam thats a little sticky. I know not to just spray WD-40 all over it. But what have you found that works the best?
  8. Yes did make it out monday, and not much snow at all, patchy in the enchanments at best, with 1-2 feet at most didnt go up Aasgard though not sure there, climbed Prusik west ridge in a day car to car. Couldnt have asked for a better day, and no people. Pretty amazing, even warmish for this time of year.
  9. Last weekend climbed Prusik, great weather very little snow, awsome trip. No snow shoes, crampons ice axe, just go! Should be out this monday as well and expect the same great conditions, just a little cold is all. Josh
  10. PM me
  11. Anyone ever rappel down Dragontail to the Colchuck col? I assume it is doable. Solo? Plan is to do that then climb Colchuck peak.
  12. So this may seem weird, or maybe not. But when I go climb a good hard day, then a couple days later go climb again, it feels like my arms have the feeling of shin splints. Anyone else have this similar thing happen to them? If I cut back some it seems to help but Id like to keep going everyother day with no pain. Would supplements maybe to help bones be stronger and avoid this? Any tips? Or maybe this is just something I have to gain strength or something im not sure. Thanks
  13. Ya I know, which is why im not going. White outs are interesting to me....for the first few minutes anyways. I also dont have the luxury to just go anyday, and i live in seattle so its not quite that east to just go, so a little planning is necisary, wheather pending is always a part of my plan though.
  14. Feb should be just fine, check ur pm
  15. how about the first weekend in January?
  16. Anyone want to climb Mt Hood 1/5,1/6,1/7 whichever day looks best with an option of an overnighter depending on which route we choose, im open to suggestions. Josh
  17. Looking for people to come climb evenings at everett VW, usually around 9-10 ish on weekdays and weekends depending when i work. Josh
  18. Lost a picket on the adams glacier a week back, must have slipped out of my pack. Picket is new looking with 1 locking biner and 1 wiregate biner with a sling. Name Henderson on picket. If found please let me know. The picket would be lower on the glacier.
  19. Looking to climb Rainier June 8,9,10,11 or any combination of the dates via the Kautz Glacier route. Looking for some advice on the route and what to expect. Or especially if anyone has been up there recently. May have a spot or two on a rope team if anyone is interested.
  20. Im in the market for some Mountaineering boots, Im not sure whether to go plastic or not, I want something that I could be able to do Rainier in the winter and maybe even take them to Denali or other high peaks. I have been looking at Koflach, can you go with to warm of a boot? I also dont want to be to overkill. Any thoughts?
  21. Im pretty new to the whole mountain climbing thing but id love to get out if you dont mind giving me a few pointers.
  22. Hey everyone im fairly new to the boards here, and thought this could be a good place to meet some people who wouldnt mind helping someone learn about mountainerring. Im 22 years old, live in Everett, easy to get along with, and have up to 4 days off every weekend. I am not into the guided trips at all, and would much rather learn from people who know what they are doing. I have a pretty good knowledge of backpacking, and some scrambling experience. If anyone is interested in helping it would be apreciated very much. Id love to go for a climb, and would be ready to go just about any weekend. Also traveling isnt that much of an issue. I made the drive to Oregon to snowshoe on Mt Hood just the other weekend.
  23. Ive never climbed in my life, however I really want to start. I was thinking that I should start in some gyms to gain strength and technique. I was wondering if there were any good gyms in the Everett/Seattle area that are worth checking out. And better yet if anyone would be into teaching someone about the basics. Ive read up on climbing some but would need help once i get to the gym. Id like to avoid taking classes if at all possible. If anyone has suggestions or is willing to help it would be appreciated. Josh
