No word, I could not do it on lead (PG 13), no reg tag, feel free to get the FFA. I backed off it three times. It already has a FA and a name. I did drill a hole to make it not PG 13. But never put the bolt in. Very bold lead even with the bolt. If you fall, you are going to break something. To my understanding ....you backed off it too. Oh- well…….he made his bed…..now he is laying in it. To my knowledge there were no lead attempts at all on this route.

Can you define ascent? I think you can name a route when ever you feel like it, if you are the setter/cleaner/bolter/ etc......I do think it will mean more if you wait until you lead it.

I am not so sure Philip. I do not agree you get to rename a route just because you climbed it in a different style. I totally disagree when potter renames long standing aid routes just because he frees it. Kind of a disrespect of those who came before you. And “the humbling” has already been freed. So easy to say that when you are in another country. If it was your good friend who is the injured and he asked to make the FFA no matter how long it took? Would you tell him to f....off? Or would you respect? My friends would, and have, offered up their projects if unable to complete themselves within a reasonable time. And I have done the same. Sounds like you guys just have big fish in a small pond syndrome. You still have not answered the question......if your GOOD friend asked you not to climb a route and asked you to ward off others from climbing it.....would you respect that to the end?
