  1. so fucking sick of white boys who think they can rap. just cause eminem got famous doesn't mean all you wiggerz need to be frontin.
  2. andyf, i've got a friend that just relocated back to the laurier area, not a climber but has some geologic awareness, put him on the search for big granite boulderfields and boldering sized limestone roofs. early returns are promising, i'm hoping to go check them firsthand before the snows fall.
  3. Apparently you need a tour of the eastern washington gneiss belt. More good rock than you could not bolt in 5 lifetimes. pm sargent_rock for the goods on a canyon with 400+ routes, all trad, no fixed anchors except some rap slings slung around the top of a freestanding tower. might put you at peace with yourself and the world.
  4. wtf ever...one afternoon in the employ of the feds, my crew and I torched 170,000 acres of Hells Canyon in an attempt to catch a fire...don't talk to me about boldering's impact on plants. just as stupid a stance as bolts hurting the rock.
  5. right, because 12 more pages of unending philosophical bullshit regarding a completely self serving activity shows the inane contrivities of roped climbing. boldering is simply pure, grab holds, go up, top out or fall. if you don't use a pad, the plants don't cry.
  6. this thread is just another example why boldering and free soloing are the purist forms of climbing. again.
  7. probably 45 minutes depending on the route from Laurier. good granite boldering up on Boulder Pass.
  8. marty, drater is blowboarder. drater knows about your kite jones. LPO is amazing these days, lake is down 5' creating fat sand beaches everywhere, especially out in laclede. get a drysuit.
  9. and what is this boldering at liberty park all about?
  10. teh warmup is 11a. marty, you look like a kiteboarder!!!
  11. lworth to wenatchee, E on 2 until hwy 25 N (reardon? davenport?), 25N to 395 at kettle falls, can't see how that could take much more than 4 hours. unless the alternate route because of the kettle river bridge is that much longer. barstow bridge and up over the hill?
  12. also, that rain usually stops about 10 miles east of hood river, 5 miles west of rowena. that's why it's all deserty and shit...
  13. kiteboarding launch 2 miles west of teh Dalles. worst kept secret in the gorge. bout a mile downwind/upriver from Dougs Beach.
  14. take the old hwy from hood river to rowena (rowena road maybe?), when you see a bluff that runs about 1/4 mile along the road, 15' tall or so, you're there. there's also more boldering (and probably some sportchuffing) down the other side (rowena side) from the crest, talus landings so bring padz. good boldering out in the basalt scablands in the dalles too, between the hwy and the river after the river makes the big turn just east of the "secret spot"
  15. I tried to get in there and get the address but some guy kept saying, "I'm your senator son, come sit on my lap" when I rattled the locked door. If Marty's footwork sucks so bad, how come his 8a.nu page is so awesome?
  16. marty, the best choss IMHO is the boldering up at Rowena Crest, halfway between HR and teh Dalles. Similar to teh Happy Bolders with less pockets and less choss. Nice overlook of the Spit kiting spot too. Got a new Ocean Rodeo 12m Rise, handles like a 9m with the pull of a 16m. BooYAH!!!!
  17. I was up there last weekend. Pretty big washout. The forest service ranger up there told me it was Priority #1 once they got some money for roads in the district. ATV/motorcycle/MTB no problem.
  18. Holy shit!!! I knew you BF boys rolled hard but that is an amazing adventure. Methinks maybe you've got some Selkirk lore worthy of a book or something. Thanks for sharing.
  19. North face of Myrtle Peak? I need to find this picture of a mountain in Boundary County on the cover of this real estate guide I have somewhere, see if you know what it is. Super impressive cliffs flanking this mountain, citadel looking.
  20. how big? I'm thinking Roothan. How bout some beta on those bolders up by Mt. Hall you mentioned?
  21. The CFL passed a rule after the Ricky Williams signing that no ex-NFL'ers with criminal or drug problems could be signed. Vick will next play for Mark Cuban's pro league, probably on the New York squad. Free media coverage like whoa. Personally, I think they should let him play, no suspension, after he does his time for the feds and the state. Every incomplete pass, electric shock. Fail to pick up the first down, repeatedly slammed into the ground by the neck. Turn the ball over? That's a slug in the back of the head. I'd gladly watch that with a Coors Light and some of my fat buddies.
  22. Yeah, on Cedar Street 1.5 blocks West of the Cedar/1st Street Corner, where the old coldwater creek bridge was...263-2417
