I was there 2 weeks ago and we drove to the usual spot. stopped at the usual gate, walked across the old gravel pit and into the woods. There was a new paved gated road to the left but you dont take that anyway. Property is still owned by Plum Creek

Chinook opens 3-4 weeks after Cayuse and White River opens 3-4 weeks after Chinook and Paradise opens 3-4 weeks after White River. These are of course generalizations. Just a note: b/c skiing was good at Crystal !

I use this set-up when I am working and skiing on the hill and the one thing I have noticed is a decrease in performance . AT boots just do not give the support that a pair of good fitting downhill boots have and I cannot edge and control my skis when wearing AT boots. I like the setup for comfort but not for aggressive skiing.

Wife and I are heading up to the pass last weekend of March.We will be staying at the Best Western and day ski touring out of the hotel. How is the drive up ? Any route suggestions ? not to bring up a old subject but this guy went over an area called the waterfall located above the maintenance building in lot B and accessed on lower Kelly gap road. You can see it as you drive in. Why he did this I dont know because it is hard to get to and ther are several warning signs and 2 rope lines to cross.
