  1. What's the latest word on the road up to Exfoliation Dome?
  2. I may have dropped my Sony Cybershot RX100 while climbing at Leavenworth. It should be in a small black camera case, possibly with a tiny faded red biner attached to it. Almost certain it's at the pullout near the trailhead that leads to Groundhogs Day (February Buttress). It's a great camera, hoping someone found it. Offering $50 reward. *fingers crossed* http://www.ephotozine.com/articles/sony-cyber-shot-dsc-rx100-serious-compact-review-19789/images/666-sony-cybershot-rx100-6_1343917967.jpg
  3. The lower #4 was mine and should be in good condition. My partner did take a short fall on it (7/22) and had trouble extracting it on the way up. Sucks to leave gear, but we had a clustery party of 3 going up that thing.
  4. I may have enough info here to give this a try when I climb it next month. Thanks!
  5. We were up on Excalibur last June, believe you guys dropped a hammer that day. Guy in this pic indicated he thought it'd go in the 11's. Can't wait to give it a try.
  6. Looks great. Were you able to drive all the way to the base of Exfo Dome?
  7. Climbing in similar styles as crux sections is pretty standard prep and, not to mention the obvious, smart.
  8. I have always descended the Cascadian. Thinking about Sherpa this time. How steep are the slopes going down? Are you able to descend facing out? Interested in seeing your pics!
  9. Has anyone been up the North Ridge recently? How much snow on the route?
  10. I was thinking of checking out Exfoliation. Hiking from the campground, how much does that add to the approach in?
  11. I was in Boulder recently and had a chance to climb at one of their indoor gyms. It was the first time I have seen a Treadwall, but I have to say it's great for climbing endurance. You just turn it on and climb till you can't climb no more. I haven't seen or heard of a Treadwall at any of the gyms in Seattle, which seems quite odd considering. Any news on getting one here??
  12. Must be Roto Wall you are referring to. Yeah, that place can be a mess with too many people around. Next time don't hesitate to call next on a climb. I was sweeping our stations all weekend and there were numerous climbers jumping in once they spoke up. We were doing our best, dropping ropes for them, letting them use our anchors to save time.
  13. Let me know if there was an area that didn't pull ropes for you. I didn't make a specific announcement to our station leaders about other climbers in the area, though they are pretty good with general courtesy. We hung more routes last weekend than we usually do.
  14. Yes, it is the Guy Waterman book. Great read.
  15. I liked Good Morning Midnight by Chip Brown. Great character study about a hiker/climber who goes to the top of a mountain to commit suicide from exposure.
