I am selling my 1991 Nissan Pathfinder XE V6 5 speed manual 4X4. It is in good condition and is great in the snow. I will replace the windshield and the brakes before it sells. It has 187600 miles on it but has been very well taken care of. The starter, clutch, and exhaust manifold have been replaced recently. I have only needed to do the brakes once but I am sure they are due so like I said I will put new ones on it. The interior is very good. It does not have power windows or locks. The tires are 31” BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A with 80%+ tread on them. $3100. Stock rack included, Yakima racks negotiable. PM me if interested.

I knew Brian and we planned to do some stuff when he got back. He was so excited to go to AK. I am shocked and saddened to hear this news.

If you are talking about Easy Street (wall), there is a belay bolt that can be used to self belay. There is a bit of run-out toward the top of one of the routes but the climbing is very, very easy. Good place to learn to climb, but there is a little exposure since it sort of on a ledge. It can be intimidating for some beginers since you are a few hundred feet above the freeway. There can be some communication problems b/c of the freeway noise as well.

Bailed off the Fuher Finger due to bad weather on Saturday. Another group in front of us also turned around at about 12K. The skiing was good.

Buy one of these: If I recall correctly, my alarm woke me up at 630am. Thanks for the advice though. Ben I don't know where your van was parked when you awoke at 6:30, but I try and get to the start of something I want to climb by 7:30 at index. I have never had to wait on any occasion. I have noticed a lot of people show up around 9am. I have not climbed there this year, is the area seeing more traffic?

I guess its the way a route is rated. Do you rate it for the hardest move or how the entire route goes. In a gym, you can manufacture the route so every move goes at the same grade. Only a few slabs and cracks can do that.

Your correct it is not,but if you went about 680' up north slope you said the group was on you would be.

I was wondering if you guys get a special use permit to bring that many people out there? The regulations say no more than 12 and that would include any animals.

I have seen them (teaching) there on a few occasions. Never seemed like a very sensible spot to me but what do I know. Glad everyone was OK. Thanks for the TR

I'll be around if you wanted to go up to snoqualmie.

That would be funny. Someone should crop those pictures together and I'll send it to my shirtless friend.

No, it’s just Pineapple Pass. We only had a few hours to get out. The dog’s name is Bear though.

You're Invited--fundraiser for injured skier

Thanks Aaron for posting this. I was with Steve when it happened and it was a terrible event. I know just about everyone here has no idea who Steve is b/c he doesn't post on this site. Well, he doesn't have a computer. He is one of my closest friends and we ski, sport climb, alpine climb, ice climb, or Mt. bike together at least 4 day a week. He enjoys nothing more than being out in the mountains doing all the things we love to do. Like Aaron said, he does have insurance but no income. He just got out of his wheelchair 4 days ago but still needs a walker b/c he can't bare weight on his left leg for 6 more weeks. Here are some more pictures of Steve. Thanks for your interest, Dave -
I would agree with Tony about the approach. Best to due it this time of year with a sled and a partner.

Well, you will not be able to drive it. I did it last week in April last year and only got to within 4 mile of the trail head with an old pathfinder w/mud-terrain tires. It made for a very long day. You will not be able to bike it b/c it is very bumpy from all the sled traffic on a non-groomed trail. You would be better off just skinning or walking in. It just over 8 miles to the trail head and it took us 45 minutes on sleds due to trail conditions. Anyway here is a picture taken yesterday of the South Side.

I'll post the picture when I get home from work. Yes, we went in the Teanaway via sleds and parked at the trail head. We toured up to the ridge east of longs and camped there overnight.

I was out at Stuart Sat/Sun and our original plan was to ski Ulrich’s but everything was bulletproof all day. I think the lower sections may require a rap or two. A couple of my friends did the Cascadian on 3/25 and there has been significant snow melt in the past week from comparing photos. It was sunny, cold and windy. We ended up climbing up the Cascadian and skiing that. I think with last nights snow conditions may have improved. I got a good picture of the south side if you’re interested.

Yes you can. Stop at red the signs. Most skiers will start their tour from the summer trail head.

I married a climber. She loves to climb. There are a few days a month we have to ski but she doesn't mind.

Anyone can top-rope anything.

Well the SW ridge looked very bare yesterday, but it is snowing. If you plan to go, just stay in the trees until you can gain the ridge.

I only own them in the smaller range, but I will always go to them first before usign a BD or metolius in the same range. I have fallen on them and trust them. However, they are 4 years old. If the quality has gone down due to the demand, then I will find something else when they need to be replaced.
